Our Orientation Program - Get Set for School class aims to give toddlers (18 months to 2+ years) the social, emotional and independence skills to motivate their learning and prepare for Pre-Nursery life.

​

This toddler transition program caters the needs of the parent and children following GIS transition policy. This program ensures that your child will be equipped with the skills for smooth transition from being supported to an independent learner. 

​

Children attend for 2 hours each day and 3 days per week. This program is conducted in English, while Mandarin will occasionally be taught through songs, storytelling and rhymes as introductory level.

 

CURRICULUM

 

• Circle Time - This is where interactions between children and teacher take place. Children will learn about what to expect for the day, sing songs, play games and read stories during this time.

• Art & Craft - They include drawing, painting, playing with playdough, junk modeling, making collages etc.

• Free Play - Children interact with their environment and surrounding learning materials under adult supervision. They may play with puzzles, buildings, do cutting and pasting, sorting, matching and sequencing objects.

• Music - Children will get to sing songs and explore musical instruments. They will learn concepts such as rhythm, beat, fast, slow, loud and quiet.

• Mandarin - It will be taught through songs, storytelling and rhymes.
