Mrs. Wong has worked in the Education Bureau for 30 years before retirement. She has extensive experience in curriculum development, teacher education and quality assurance of schools.  Since retirement, she has continued her work in education as school manager. She is currently council member of a renowned NGO serving the intellectually challenged. Her role includes being chairman of the education committee, member of the social services committee, school supervisor and center supervisor of the preschool center.

Ms. Stephanie Law

Stephanie joined GIS as Director of School Development in 2013. Prior to joining GIS, she served as School Development Manager leading her team and developed three schools in Hong Kong from blueprint, establishment, to further development. She has retained her role on the school advisory committee.

After graduated from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology majoring BBA Marketing. Stephanie has gained more than 15 years experience in marketing, project management, school management and development.

Alongside her role in GIS, she also serves as a children's church teacher in International Fellowship North Church. She will further develop the Bible curriculum for GIS and continue to spread God's love and His word to our next generation.

Ms. Stephanie's favorite Bible verses:

Proverbs 22:6 Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.

Born and educated in Canada, Mr Ben understands the dynamic environment of our city and the importance of stability and support from family and community. Mr. Ben is an experienced and energetic educator with twelve years of experience in the field of early childhood education. He has many years of children’s curriculum development and leadership experience including effective teaching, creating lesson plans and curriculum, providing children with opportunities to develop and harness their interest/ creativity while strengthening their abilities. Mr. Ben is also a published author and is always seeking lovely stories to motivate children’s learning.

Mr. Ben’s educational philosophy:

Ms. Katherine joined GIS in 2018. She has more than 10 years of teaching, planning and curriculum development experiences in the field of early childhood education.

Ms. Katherine is interested to understand children's growth path and their physical, mental, emotional and social developments at each stage.

Being a vice-principal, a teacher and a mother-of-two, guiding and taking good care of GIS students makes her feel happy, satisfied, grateful, and contented. Especially when she sees them gradually achieve their goals in their learning journey.

Miss Melissa has over seven years of experience in the early childhood setting. She has worked in both international and local kindergartens. Miss Melissa’s philosophy in education is that each child should be treated as an individual and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally and socially.

As an educator, she strives to create an atmosphere where students can meet their full potential. Miss Melissa believes in creating a warm and nurturing learning environment where she always encourages her students to share their ideas. And where they can build on their strengths, interests, skills, abilities and knowledge to broaden their own learning.

Ms. Nishta Haresh Mirpuri
Pre-nursery Teacher
  • Over seven years of teaching experience in pre-nursery settings.

Miss Nishta has spent over six years with Galilee International School and has taught Pre-nursery classes for three years. Her experiences with children in the early years have been both challenging and rewarding.  She enjoys seeing the children develop independence, demonstrate confidence in learning and flourish in friendships and building relationships. 

As a mother of two, Nishta can relate to their development and challenges in a nurturing way and with love and care. Teaching children has always been her passion, and she strongly believes that they are an inspiration and that they give her the enthusiasm to give her best, which is the key to achieving success in school and life.

Ms Katrina was born and raised in Lithuania, Europe. She has graduated from Lithuania Business School and shortly after that she moved to Hong Kong to pursue her career in international trading.

Education has always been a passion for Ms. Katrina. Being a mother of three wonderful children gave her the motivation to switch careers and to start pursuing a path in Early Childhood Education. She is an enthusiastic educator, who is very keen to learn more about various teaching approaches and strategies.

Ms. Veronica was born in Hong Kong and moved to San Francisco in the United States for 8 years. She had 4 years teaching experience in San Francisco and also over 6 years teaching experience in international schools in Hong Kong.
She loves to interact with children at all stages of development. Being able to involved in children's journey, knowing they are improving, getting inspired and growing up healthy makes her feel rewarded.

As a mother of three, Ms Vicky understands the balance of providing academic excellence and play base in attaining her children's learning interests. Ms Vicky emphasises hands-on learning and constantly researches the best way to ensure her students and children are captivated and interested in learning. 

Ms Mona has over twenty years of experience in the music industry, and her talent and skills have been put forth in the early childhood field. Ms Mona enjoys using music as a tool to encourage her students to express themselves and use music as a therapeutic tool to reduce anxiety for our young learners.
