Galilee International School follows the the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, enhanced by an internationally recognized inquiry-based approach.. Children explore their environment and learn about their world through play and relationships with peers, teachers, family and community members. Early learning in the EYFS is a holistic learning experience that integrates socio-emotional, physical and cognitive development. Our playgroup programme takes place in dynamic environments that promote play, discovery and exploration.

Goals:

• Engage children in interactive lessons in a bilingual learning environment

• Expression of creativity through physical activities, sensory play, singing, dancing and art projects

• Develop a sense of caring and kindness

• Explore sensory play to enhance their fine motor skills

• Develop a routine for children to follow that can apply to their Pre-nursery level

 

提供給年齡12個月至23個月小朋友的幼兒課程，為他們做好準備，進入學前班和幼稚園，以英語作為教學語言。

課程遵循英國早期基礎教育階段(EYFS)課程框架。孩子們透過遊戲和與同伴、教師、家人和社區成員的關係，探索他們的環境並了解世界。在EYFS中的早期學習是一個全面的學習體驗，整合了社交情感、身體和認知發展。在教室中，學習發生在促進遊戲、發現和探索的動態環境中。

• 通過感官遊戲探索，提升他們的細小肌肉技能

• 為孩子制定一個可以應用於他們學前班的日常規劃

Our Playgroup Programme is divided into two days:

• On Mondays or Tuesdays, our students will participate in creative development, concept learning and Mandarin classes. Our students will participate in sensory/ messy play, music and movement activities.

• On Wednesday or Thursday, we will have theme-based learning.

Playgroup Themes:

• Transportation: Exploring the different types of transportation in Hong Kong and around the world.

• Colours and Shapes: Developing the fundamentals of colours and identifying them in our environment.

• Stories: Exploring the characters, colours and shapes in different stories.

• Festive Activities: Exploring the traditions and concepts of favourite holidays celebrated throughout the world.

• Food: Using our senses to identify different types of food and their characteristics

• Seasons: the key features of different seasons and elements that make them unique from one another.

週一或週二，我們的學生將參加創意發展、概念學習和普通話課程。我們的學生將參與感官/ 任意玩耍(messy play) 遊戲、音樂和動作活動。

週三或週四，我們將進行以主題為基礎的學習:

• 顏色和形狀：發展顏色的基本概念，並在我們的環境中識別它們

• 故事：探索不同故事中的角色、顏色和形狀

• 節慶活動：探索世界各地慶祝的喜愛節日的傳統和概念

• 食物：運用我們的感官來識別不同類型的食物及其特徵

• 季節：探索不同季節的主要特徵和使它們彼此獨特的元素
