The Tiger Who Came to Tea?

Judith Kerr’s timeless tale of a playful, unexpected guest reminds us that the greatest adventures often arrive when we least expect them! The Tiger symbolizes Curiosity and Joyful Disruption. This book inspires our camp curriculum by encouraging children to:

• Embrace the Unexpected: We move beyond the ordinary, using the tiger’s spontaneous visit to inspire Provocation Learning and imaginative problem-solving.

• Explore Sensory Delights: Just as Sophie and the Tiger enjoyed a messy, wonderful tea party, our camp dives into Sensory Experiences using natural autumn materials and vibrant textures.

• Respect Nature's Wonders: The tiger is a magnificent creature from the wild. This central image helps us tie our activities to themes of Environmental Conservation, encouraging respect and protection for all animals and habitats.

• 探索感官樂趣： 正如Sophie和老虎享受了一場混亂卻美好的茶會一樣，我們的營會將透過天然的秋季材料和豐富的紋理，深入進行感官體驗。

• 尊重自然世界的奇觀： 老虎是來自野外的壯麗生物。這個核心形象幫助我們將活動與環境保護的主題聯繫起來，鼓勵孩子們對所有動物和棲息地產生尊重與愛護。

• 啟發式學習活動- 參與開放式、挑戰性的任務，鼓勵孩子批判性思考和協作

• 創意藝術與手工 - 利用秋季色彩和自然材料，創作老虎面具、野外風景和茶會裝飾品。

• 感官體驗 - 探索秋季豐收和老虎棲息的叢林的紋理、氣味和聲音。

• 互動音樂與律動 - 以叢林為主題的節奏、模仿老虎的潛行以及充滿活力的動作，以發展協調性和表現力。

• 烹飪與STEAM - 準備「老虎茶會」的點心，並進行關於動物棲息地和環境保護的簡單科學實驗。

• 語言發展 (英文閱讀) - 透過故事書進行引人入勝的閱讀、角色扮演，以及詞彙和理解能力的強化訓練。
